Community Involvement
We feel as a successful member of the Gold Coast community it is only fitting to give something back to the community that has helped us achieve what we are today.
We have supported the Queensland Muscular Dystrophy Association for 13 years. The cure for Muscular Dystrophy will also cure many other genetic diseases and with any luck could be possible before the end of the year. Each year we hold a Gala Ball and Charity Auction and this year we raised over $220,000 to bring the grand total raised over the years over $1.6 million.
The Gold Coast beach plays an important role in the lifestyle we live and we believe it is necessary to keep these beaches safe. Therefore, for the past 3 years we have helped raise much needed funds for the Surfers Paradise Life Saving Club which has enabled them to purchase rescue equipment. We have raised almost half a million dollars. This year at our annual Sportsmans lunch and Auction we raised in excess of $90,000.
We believe the cultural aspect of any community is vital and to that end we provide substantial financial support through a Benefactors Programme for the Gold Coast Arts Centre.
To summarise a number of other community initiatives or organisations we help include:
- Recently donated a substantial amount to the Variety Club for 2007 XXXX Gold Variety Bash in August 07
- Provided a donation to Brisbane Lions AFC 2007 Gala Auction in August 07
- We hold our Monthly staff meetings at the Titanium Bar – this way we support the local NRL team by holding regular meetings at their home bar
- Provided a substantial donation to Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal
- Andrew Bell our CEO attends and conducts various Auctions over the course of the year at various Charity events & functions
- RACQ Care Flight foundation member of Club Care Flight South West (QLD) (sponsored by RACQ) – this is to assist sponsor community helicopter
- Donation to Rainbow Bay SLSC Nippers
As an office we pride ourselves on supporting various local community groups such as schools, Chamber of Commerce and other organisations by giving financial donations.
