Background
Due to it’s location and the fact that the majority of property sold by the Surfers Paradise office are units, it is affectionately referred to as our “Units Division”.
Located in the heart of the Gold Coast action, Surfers Paradise, this team specializes mainly in the selling of units, whether they be two storey walk-ups right through to the world recognized Q1 building.
Scott Harmon is the driving force behind this young enthusiastic team and Scott’s decades of skills and experience has resulted in this team being not only one of the largest in South East Queensland but also one of the most successful.
Due to the configuration of the marketplace with holiday lettings, investment properties and long term tenancies, the style and selling methods require refined training and subsequent skill levels. As many of the owners of property in this concentrated area are out of town owners, much of the communication between parties is by way of email, facsimile and telephone therefore requiring strong communication abilities by the team.
The preferred method of sale for this division is by way of auctions, conducted “in rooms”, due to the limited accessibility to many of the apartments while people are holidaying. This also enables the team to be ensuring their clients are achieving the highest possible prices. Currently the success rate for them far exceeds the industry averages by around 20%.
It is not uncommon to see their in rooms auctions, being conducted at The Marriott Hotel, presenting twenty five to thirty properties to crowds of around one hundred enthusiastic buyers.
The spread of units along the Coast strip means, that this team are covering from Main beach through Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach all the way to Burleigh. Most of the consultants specialize in particular buildings thus having complete knowledge and history of specific high rise developments.
